The first day at DreamHack ZOWIE Open Bucharest saw the initial round and winners' matches played out, as two teams locked their spot in the semi-finals.

Virtus.pro came out on top of Group A, defeating Gambit on Cobblestone and passing through HEROIC with ease on Train. Cloud9 reigned supreme in the other group, comfortably disposing of both FlipSid3 and FaZe on two Train affairs.
