Aftermatch will replace cbteam at The Gathering, as the Norwegian team called off their participation last night.

As we reported last night, cbteam will not be attending The Gathering after all. To find a suitable replacement, the organizers chose to set up a match series between the teams that crashed in the third round of the BYOC-bracket. This saw Guardian versus Aftermath and internett against fnatikk. Aftermath and internet won the two matchups and served the right to face each other in the match to determine who would replace cbteam.

Aftermath pulled out victoriously, winning 16-12 on de_nuke and qualified for the main tournament, where they have been put in Group B with Lions, n!faculty and kent.

The team is composed of some quite known faces on the Norwegian scene, the former NiP and MYM member Øyvind "KF3" Magnestad, retired clan-IT member Jonas "Luke" Bro and ex-Lions member Gunnar "zEn" Eng as the front figures.

Aftermath will enter the tournament tomorrow, starting at 09:00CET with their first match against kent.
