Four teams, hailing from the CIS, Europe, and North America, will compete at the MSI MGA Finals, staged at the Barclays Center as part of ESL One New York, with a total of $60,000 on the line.
The MSI MGA Finals will feature a best-of-one double-elimination bracket, which will begin backstage before and during the ESL One New York semi-finals but will conclude on stage before the main tournament's grand final on Sunday.
The event will be broadcast on the official MSI Gaming YouTube channel and will be covered by the ESL One New York talent.
The tournament was to originally feature a team from the APAC region, but 5POWER ended up cancelling their attendance to focus on the WESG 2018 China Regional Finals, granting the spot to North America closed qualifier runners-up, eUnited.
Complexity, who claimed legend status at the FACEIT Major after going 3-0 in the New Legends Stage before being knocked out MIBR in the quarter-finals, will take on Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas's Movistar Riders in the opening match.
Next up, the young squad of eUnited, who have a lot to prove offline after their last LAN appearance ended with a 7-8th place-finish at DreamHack Open Montreal, will go head-to-head against AVANGAR, who seem to have found their groove in recent months and will use this event as preparation for IEM Chicago.
